Cruisin’ For A Cause: GGAB at the Bil Raul Talavera Car Show
On a sunny Saturday, July 13th, the Bil Raul Talavera Car Show took place at St. Theresa Parish Hall, and it was a spectacular event! Classic cars, hot rods, and muscle cars gleamed under the bright sun, drawing in car enthusiasts and families alike. The atmosphere was filled with the roar of engines and the cheerful chatter of excited attendees.
Global Give-A-Book (GGAB) was thrilled to be part of this fantastic event, and we brought along over 100 books to distribute to children and families. Our table, adorned with colorful banners and stacks of books, quickly became a popular spot. Seeing the children's and parents’ faces light up as they picked out their books was a heartwarming sight.
One of the highlights of the day was watching the joy on children's faces as they chose from a wide selection of books. From picture books to early readers, there was something for every young book lover. We had titles like "Bear Came Along" and "A Tiger Like Me," which captivated the imaginations of our young readers.
In addition to the joy of giving out books, we had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people who are passionate about both cars and the community. The support from the attendees was overwhelming, and many expressed their appreciation for GGAB's mission to promote youth literacy.
A special thanks goes out to our amazing sponsors and volunteers who made this possible. Their dedication and hard work ensured that we could distribute over 100 books, fostering a love of reading in countless children.
The Bil Raul Talavera Car Show was not just a celebration of classic cars but also a celebration of community, literacy, and the power of giving. GGAB is grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an incredible event, and we look forward to many more opportunities to bring books and smiles to children everywhere.
