At GGAB, we believe nourishing young minds is as vital as feeding hungry families. Partnering with the Community Pantry in Gallup, New Mexico, to provide books for their summer reading program.




Summer reading programs are essential in preventing the "summer slide," a phenomenon where students lose academic skills during the extended break. These programs help children maintain and improve their literacy skills by providing access to books and setting them up for success in the upcoming school year. Source


Books can be a luxury for many families, especially those facing food insecurity. By integrating book distribution with food assistance, GGAB helps bridge this gap, offering children the tools to continue learning and growing during the summer months.
