2022 HISPANIC HERITAGE AWARDS

GGAB was voted as and awarded the Hispanic Heritage Award for Nonprofit of the Year 2022!

To those that took the time to vote and share our mission, THANK YOU. It is a privilege to build youth literacy in New Mexico and beyond.

The children are at the core of our mission and this award allows us the ability to further highlight the importance of youth literacy.



The award, accepted by GGAB's Volunteer Coordinator Lauren Martinez, was presented during The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce's Hispanic Heritage Awards sponsored by State Employees Credit Union of New Mexico.

A special thank you to Ernie C'deBaca and Joseph Trimble for their service to the community and their continued support!


TEAM HIGHLIGHT

GGAB's Founder and Executive Director, Sylvia Maser, has been featured in in The Giving Stories- a collaborative project between Nonprofit Accelerators and The Nonprofit Creators. Bassett Place Mall Fall Festival

It was an honor to be joined by El Paso native, Chris Aguirre. Chris is a Netflix animation artist and former Art Director for DreamWorks Studios. He has developed various television productions and is famous for the creation of Puss in Boots from Shrek.

We are so proud of Chris and his latest endeavor with Netflix. Check out #SpiritRangers on #Netflix with your family today! Chris' heart is rooted in inspiring children to follow their dreams and embrace their talents. His heart for youth literacy is acknowledged and appreciated by many. Thank you, Chris!

CALDECOTT AWARDED FEATURED TITLES

GGAB prides itself on giving high-quality, award-winning books including Caldecott awarded titles.

The Caldecott Medal was named in honor of nineteenth-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.
