GGAB, APS, and NM Foundation Partner for Early Literacy

Updated: 3 days ago

At GGAB, we recognize that cultivating a love for reading begins at a young age. That’s why we’re excited to highlight the work of GGAB team member and UNM reading tutor Sofia, who is making a lasting impact at Alphabet Alley Preschool by engaging young learners through interactive reading sessions sponsored by 2024 Sustaining New Mexico Fund.

Sofia's visits to Alphabet Alley aren’t just about reading books, they bring stories to life, spark imagination, and build foundational literacy skills that will support these children throughout their education. A special shout-out to Preschool Teacher Maria for welcoming Sofia into her classroom!

The impact doesn’t stop at storytime. Sofia also spends time at the APS food pantry. By integrating literacy into community spaces like food pantries, we’re making books a natural and essential part of every child’s environment.

United, we can bridge the divide in book access.

Your investment directly supports our mission to provide quality books to children who need them the most and empower children with the tools for success.
